Murex has run testing at the ir end for a sample deal set and have the results avaialbe, could you try talking to your Murex support contact?

Could be some issues with static data (eg. counterparty) export, since 1.6 now has the ability to define rules based on UDFs/UDF groups and also better tree definition eg. now for counterparty, you can define a parent/child tree structure better than in 1.5.3.

If you are still with the 1.5.3 version of MLC, then no changes, if moving to 3.1, then MLC 1.6 comes into playt which is totally different, which version of MLC are you going to be using?

Again for 3.1, VaR module has some changes like restriction of result viewing by portfolio access, parallelization, drill down to specific instruments, better hole filling, portfolio grouping etc. Only some of these features are avaialble in 2.11.43, you will ahve to check with Murex/attend their demo

We, for example, have a seperate web page to check limit breaches under contribution mode, usually used if the volume of deals is so large that interfaces are used and manual authorisation real time is not feasible.

Hi Ankur, the brech is red is if the bound for a risk is set to max bound (certain percentage) and the limit is breached or if the limit is set to not allowed, and check zero impact in case of negative number checking, these breaches cannot be authorized.

I think the best way would be way 3 without turning RMDS off. You can write the data periodically via cron to either the DB directly (the security prices table) or you can configure the MDCS cache to have an additioanl node to fetch data from your market data source.

You will get a breach in red if a Max limit is breached/a not allowed limit is breached. You can set the bound type under risk->edit->bounds. This will not allow you to save the deal in case of a combination of a authorization workflow with max bound breach or a limit set to not allowed under authorization request mode.

In contribution mode, the deal is saved in Murex despite the breach, and the breach report can be run later an analysed outside the system to decide whether or not ot DV the deal, this is called a soft check, in authorization request mode, if you are on an authorization workflow, the deal will get stuck if the limits are set to not allowed and will give an authorization request button if the limits are set to comment bound. You can authorise only comment bound breaches, in comment workflow, the deal will get saved without authorization.

It's a valid thing that everyone of us wants to learn Murex,but then you should not forget that Murex is right now one of the hottest application used in almost all the banks here in singapore.

Am not sure if any time SAP came up with a free training and learning sessions.

Yeah , but then you can register urself for some courses ( of course not the free one) and learn Murex.

Ppl go behind a particular application/techology and learn it cos it's hot in the market and defn adds up a lot more to your resume..

So you need to pay if you want all ths, nuthin cm's free frnds ..

Srry , this was nt at all offend anyone's feelings , bt just a vry frank opinion ....

I have one question with regards to MxML STPDOC table. I am designing a new error workflow with validaton queue to capture errors from a Swift process. I am using transformation task and body filter task to remove the ERROR.XML and copy it to a MXTMPERROR.DTD. This does this function. But when there is error from different task in the Swift workflow, i get a copy of each MXTMPERROR.DTD which is passed onto the router task in the error queue workflow. But it is not able to find the latest error DTD instead picks up the error thrown by first task hence resulting in directing the flow to the wrong task. Is there a option to configure in a task to pickup the latest ERROR.DTD.? I am using Mx 2.11.42. Help!

Does Murex is in trying to took over the integrator job? One of the main integrator job is to adapt, explain and train end user on the platform. Does Murex will be able to do that on site?
