This procedure will retain the basic characterisitcs of the purged transactions in the database and will delete any non-critical data associated with the transactions. Refer to mxdoc document for details. Alternatviely, the "Physical purge" procedure will completely remove the transactions from the database.

You can write a dynamic database formula/filter to identify the deals that will be affected by the purge procedure prior to purging.

Re: Murex User Group Social Meeting in London

EVENT POSTPONED!!!

Re: Learning Murex

This is a catch 22 situation. The existing Murex clients don't hire people with no experience. They are looking for trained and experienced Murex professionals. Due to this I recently missed a good job opportunity. I do hve almost 20+ years for Derivatrives analytical experince using other software. Howver, they were looking for Murex experience and as I didn't have the proper Murex training I was turned down.

You should seriously think of introducing some training in Murex. Follow the model by Bloomberg and SAP. They all offer courses. Bloomebrg offers free coiurses. They offer food, training and certification for the participants. The result is all the Banks are using Bloomberg. When more people are trained on the Murex program, that creats a demand for the program and there will be more people using Murex.

Bloomberg and SAP are huge success stories due to this business model they have in place.

Re: Database problems

The problems are more serious than I thought ...
